Michael Barren

Michael A. Barren was born in Montgomery, Alabama. Ever since he could sing, he has always had an affinity for music in ministry. He started piano lessons at the age of seven and started playing piano for church services when he was fifteen. He has recently obtained a B.A. in Music with Disciplinary Honors in Performance from Birmingham-Southern College in May 2020. Now, he is currently working towards achieving a Master of Music Performance from Youngstown State University. After obtaining his master’s degree, he hopes to get a PhD in music theory and teach piano and music theory at a college or a university while still creating music in the service of God.
